Verify the provider before assuming city service
TVWD includes portions of Hillsboro in its service area. Confirm the property rather than assuming all Hillsboro addresses share the same utility. For a water-heater quote, collect the existing equipment type, location and accessible label information. Ask how the proposed installation affects supply connections, drainage, venting or electrical work, and which trades or inspections the written scope includes.
Prepare the property and repair details
State Hillsboro, the full address and the fixture or equipment involved. Describe whether water is still escaping, whether one or several fixtures are affected and any safe isolation already performed. If you are unsure of the source, say so rather than repeating an assumed diagnosis.
- Explain entry, parking and any building-access restrictions.
- Identify the person who may authorize repairs.
- Have prior inspection notes or equipment photographs available.
Questions for a local plumbing visit
Does this guide confirm availability at my address?
No. Confirm the full address, service needed and appointment with the independent business before arranging work.
Who handles permits and shared-pipe access?
Ask the responsible authority and property manager for the actual address. Have the business include any permit, inspection and access responsibilities in writing.
Arrange the right assessment
Call with your full address and ask whether the business handles your fixture or equipment. Confirm the visit charge and who can authorize repairs in a shared building.
Check the responsible utility
Use the exact address and current utility bill. Utility boundaries do not establish plumbing-contractor availability, private-pipe ownership or permit requirements.
